Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia Dato’ Nor’Aini binti Abd Hamid completes her mission in Uzbekistan.
On 19 February 2018, Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Ambassador of Malaysia.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed the state and prospective directions of bilateral relations, a number of topical international and regional issues.
It was stressed that the dynamic Uzbek-Malaysian dialogue in various areas and expansion of mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment ties equally meet the interests of both countries.
A special attention was paid to the issues of interaction in the sphere of tourism. The parties noted that the introduction from 10 February 2018 of a visa-free regime for Malaysian citizens for a period of 30 days, as well as the availability of direct flights on the route Tashkent-Kuala Lumpur-Tashkent, will further increase the tourist flow from Malaysia, including pilgrimage to the Islamic shrines of Samarkand and Bukhara.
In connection with the end of the diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan, the Uzbek side expressed gratitude to Ambassador for her personal contribution to the strengthening and development of cooperation between the two countries.
Dato’ Nor’Aini binti Abd Hamid, in her turn, thanked for constant support in her activities in Uzbekistan.
