Sixteenth plenary meeting of the Senate to be held in late August

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The sixteenth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan will be held on 27 September 2018. This was reported by the press office of the upper house of parliament.
The senators will consider a number of laws, including the laws "On State Customs Service" (new edition), "On Private Employment Agencies" and "On Establishing the Day of the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
The senators will consider laws on introducing amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, aimed at developing economic relations and entrepreneurship, improving the system of rendering legal aid and legal services, providing social security and providing housing and communal services, ensuring public security and liberalizing the criminal responsibility, as well as increased liability for violations in the field of environmental protection, rational use of natural resources and others.
In addition, the senators will consider a number of laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the ratification of international treaties, hear the information of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan on implementation of the Program of Measures for the Further Development of Specialized Medical Aid to the Population of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2017-2021.
At the plenary session, the report of the governor of the Bukhara region on development of the territories and the activities of local Kengashes of people’s deputies will also be heard.
Members of the Senate will discuss issues related to sending a parliamentary request to the Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan on streamlining labor relations in agriculture and informal employment in this area.
