The agreement was signed by Kirill Frolov, Deputy General Director of RusHydro for research and design activities, and Abdugani Sanginov, Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekgidroenergo in Tashkent.
The companies plan to create a joint working group, which will develop a feasibility study for construction of a 240 MW Mullak hydroelectric station and Verkhnesemskaya Hydropower Plant with a capacity of 200 MW on Pskem River in Uzbekistan, including design, survey and research work.
The parties also agreed to develop cooperation in the field of construction, operation and technological development of other hydropower facilities in Uzbekistan.
The companies of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation expressed confidence that the intensification of such cooperation in the field of hydropower will contribute to the strengthening of trade and economic ties between the countries.
