Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 November 2018, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On establishment of additional non-working days during the celebration of official dates and the transfer of days off in 2019”.
According to the document, 2 January (Wednesday), 22 March (Friday) and 2 September (Monday) are set as additional non-working days in 2019.
The head of Uzbekistan also moved the weekend in 2019 from Saturday, 5 January to Thursday, 3 January; from Saturday, 1 June to Thursday, 6 June; from Saturday, 7 September to Tuesday, 3 September, and from Saturday, 28 December to Tuesday, 31 December.
In budgetary organizations, additional non-working days are compensated by reducing the duration of the annual labor leave of employees by three working days.
In determining the amount of the average monthly earnings maintained for the period of annual labor leave, the actual duration of the labor leave is taken into account with the addition of the number of additional non-working days established by this Decree.
The duration of the annual labor leave with the reduction cannot be less than fifteen working days.
In non-budget organizations, additional non-working days, along with other additional days to leave, are established on the basis of financial possibilities and in accordance with collective agreements or other local acts adopted by employers in agreement with the trade union committees.
Uzbekistan Havo Yollari and Uzbekistan Temir Yollari were instructed to develop discounts and promotions on transport and hotel services during long weekends, State Tourism Committee and local authorities should work out domestic tourism routes and active and rewarding recreation programs.
