Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan visits Manas village in Jizzakh region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan paid a visit to Manas village in Jizzakh region, which was renovated in 2018 within the framework of “Obod qishloq” (Prosperous village) state program.
During the visit, the Ambassador met with the first deputy khokim of Jizzakh region G.Mamatkulov. Issues of further developing Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan relations, prospects for regional cooperation between the regions of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, tourism and other areas of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
The head of the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission visited a kindergarten, a family polyclinic and other facilities equipped with modern technical equipment. Open lessons in Kyrgyz language were held with the Ambassador’s participation and a conversation with the school’s teaching staff, at school No.5.
I.Junusov and khokim of the district talked to ethnic Kyrgyz of Manas village. Measures taken by the Government of Kyrgyzstan aimed at supporting compatriots living abroad were noted. In particular, these are the opportunities offered to ethnic Kyrgyz people to enroll at the leading higher education institutions of Kyrgyzstan on a grant basis.
Following the event, complete works of Chingiz Aytmatov and other memorable gifts were presented. A festive concert was held.
