Japanese university to open representative office in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution “On organization of the activity of the representative office of Nagoya University in Tashkent”.

The document was adopted for further development and improvement of training of high skilled specialists at the international standards, creation of conditions for realization of effective use of youth potential, expansion of international cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan in higher education.

The resolution approved proposal of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Uzbekistan and Japan’s Nagoya University on opening of representative office of the Japanese university.

The office will be registered as governmental organization of foreign state on technical cooperation, the document said.

The main task of the representative office is to select, send and organize education of Uzbek students in higher education establishments of Japan on the state grants of the Japanese Government.
