UZSE turnover makes up 113.5bn soums in Jan-Sep

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of deals with the securities at Uzbekistan Stock Exchange made up 113.5 billion soums in nine months of 2015, which grew by 1.7 times compared to the same period of 2014 (68.6 billion soums in January-September 2014).
The exchange said that it recorded 1,844 deals in nine months of 2015, which rose three times compared to the same period of 2014 and two times compared to 12 months of 2014.
The secondary market accounted 84.7 billion soums, including 3.5 billion soums – with the coporate bonds. The turnover of the secondary market rose four times year-on-year.
Share of the secondary market in total turnover was 74.7% in the first nine months of 2015 against 33% in the same period of 2014.
The IPO market accounted 25.3% of turnover or 28.8 billion soums. The turnover fell by 36.8% in the reporting period (45.6 billion soums in nine months of 2014).
About 85.2% from turnover or 96.8 billion soums were carried out with the securities of the financial institutions, including 84.5% or 96 billion soums – with securities of commercial banks.
Share of insurance companies made up 0.7% or 0.78 billion soums and leasing companies – 0.03% or 0.03 billion soums. Agri-industrial complex accounted 10.2% of deals or 11.6 billion, industry – 0.2% or 0.2 billion soums.
