About 43.48% of Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover falls to share of Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About 43.48% of foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan in nine months of 2010 fell to share of Tashkent city. According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, foreign trade turnover of capital city made up about US$6.743 billion.

In line with the committee’s data, exports of enterprises of Tashkent city comprised US$3.752 billion in January-September 2010 and imports – US$2.991 billion.

Tashkent region and Andijan region also entered to the Top Three on the volume of foreign trade turnover in the reporting period. Foreign trade turnover of Tashkent region was US$2.009 and Andijan region – US$1,483 billion.

At the same time, exports of Tashkent region reached US$1.261 billion and Andijan region – US$450.8 million. The imports volume made up US$747.9 million and US$1.032 billion respectively.

Lowest volume of foreign trade turnover was observed in Karakalpakstan Republic (US$58.6 million), Khorezm region (US$102.2 million) and Jizzkah region (US$124.5 million).

Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up US$15.507 billion in January-September 2010 (+0.2% year-on-year). At the same time, Uzbekistan’s exports made up US$9.566 billion and imports – US$5.941 billion.
