Khiva to host Uzbekistan Travel Workshop 2013

Uzbekistan Travel Workshop 2013 will be held at the ancient city of Khiva, Khorezm region of Uzbekistan on 7 June 2013.
Khiva is one of the ancient cities of Khorezm, which was one of the largest states in Central Asia. According to archeological data, the city was founded over 2,500 years ago. Khiva is actually city museum, where are located large number of minarets, madrasahs and mosques. Major part of them is located in Ichan Kala.
Uzbekistan Travel Workshop 2013 will be held at Orient Star Khiva Hotel on 7 June. Workshop 2013 will become the first regional event within implementation of presidential resolution “On programme of development of tourism in Khorezm region for 2013-2015”.
Workshop 2013 will become one of important events in the season and it will attract large number of tourism specialists from Uzbekistan to discuss perspectives of development of regional tourism. It is planned to discuss regional branding and problems of tourism industry in Uzbekistan, creation of tourism products, oriented for foreigners, mechanisms for attracting foreign tourists, etc.
Representatives of regional branches of Uzbektourism, tourism administrations, tourism companies, guest houses and resort zones were invited to the event.
Uzbekistan Travel Workshop 2013 will include business programme, including seminars, presentations and roundtables.
In the second half of the forum, experts of restaurant and hotel businesses will hold seminars, which will help to share advises and secretes, etc.
The guests and the participants of the event will also visit historic places of Khiva.
