Kashkadarya region’s GRP increases by 7.2% in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The growth of gross regional product of Kashkadarya region made up 7.2% in the first half of 2013, the session of the Deputies of local council said.
Industrial output of the region grew by 7% in the reporting period, consumer goods production – 16.3%, capital investments – 12%, contract works – 12.8%, retail trade turnover – 14.9%, paid services – 15.7%, all services – 16.5%, agriculture goods – 6.3%.
In the first six months of 2013, investments for 1.524 trillion soums were used due to all resources. The growth rate made up 12%. The region created 1,465 new jobs in January-June, UzA reported.
Over 1,000 new small businesses were created in the region and their total number exceeded 47,370 units. The commercial banks issued loans for 198.2 billion soums to small businesses.
Share of small businesses in the GRP made up 44.2%. Small and private businesses created 14,798 new jobs in January-June 2013.
