Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- US President Barack Obama has nominated Nisha Desai Biswal for the post of Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia.
It is worth to mention that the Senate of the US Congress should approve the decision.
If the Senate confirms her nomination, Nisha Desai Biswal will replace at this post Robert Blake and will be responsible for policy of the US State Department for South and Central Asia.
Nisha Desai Biswal is currently the Assistant Administrator for Asia at the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
