According to investment programme of Uzbekistan for 2013 with attraction of foreign loans under the warranty of the Government, Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management of Uzbekistan should attract foreign investments for US$96.18 million and use US$76.16 million within 15 projects.
Last year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management of Uzbekistan used foreign investments for US$82.05 million.
In particular, the Ministry used US$0.369 million within the project “Drainage project of Uzbekistan. The project on allocation of drainage in South Karakalpakstan” with participation of International Bank for Reconstruction and Development”, US$0.998 million within the project “Rehabilitation pump station Alat in Bukhara region” with the participation of Saudi Fund for Development”, US$6.855 million within the project “Rehabilitation system of channel Amu Zang” with participation of the Asian Development Bank”.
Within the project “Sector Project. Water Resources Management in Ferghana and Zarafshan valleys” with the participation of the Asian Development Bank”, it was used for US$25.10 million, the project “Water Resources Management in the Ferghana Valley. Phase-1 "with the participation of the World Bank” - $11.421 million.
The Ministry used US$17.8 million withinthe project “Rehabilitation of irrigation network and drainage systems in Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions” with participation of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Islam Development Bank and OPEC Fund for International Development.
Within the project “Reconstruction of pump stations “Navoi” and “Uchkara” in Navoi region with participation of the Government of France” were used investments for US$0.55 million.
The ministry attracted US$0.79 million to implement a project “Reconstruction of pump station Asaka-Adir in Andijan region due to loan of China”, US$0.83 million – within a project “Reconstruction of pump station Raish-Hakent-2 in Andijan region due to loan of China”, US$0.74 million - project “Reconstruction of pump station Kukumbai in Namangan region due to loan of China”, and US$1.15 million - project “Reconstruction of pump station Kanimeh-1 in Navoi region due to loan of China”.
Within the project “Reconstruction of pump station Kasaba in Navoi region due to loan of China”, the ministry attracted US$0.8 million in 2013, project “Reconstruction of trunk irrigation canal of Tashsakin system of Khorem region” with Islamic Development Bank used investments for US$0.152 million, a project “Support of agriculture enterprises, Phase-2” with the participation of the World Bank – US$6.8 million.
At the same time, the ministry used investments for US$12 million within a project “Improving land-reclamation in Bikhara, Navoi andKashkadarya regions”, which is realized with the Asian Development Bank.
