Russian Embassy clarifies new order of entry to Russia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Embassy of Russian in Uzbekistan published an explanation on changes, introduced to federal law “On order of exit from Russian Federation and entry to Russian Federation”.
The federal law “On introduction to article 27 of the federal law “On order of exit from Russian Federation and entry to Russian Federation” and article 5 of the federal law “On legal status of foreign citizens in Russian Federation” came into force on 1 January 2014, the embassy said.
Amendments to the federal law “On order of exit from Russian Federation and entry to Russian Federation” envisages that foreign citizen or person with citizenship will not allow to enter the country if he or she violated 90-day term of staying in Russia without visa. The person will not be allowed to enter Russia within three years. The rule came into force from 1 January 2014.
In line with the rule, foreign citizens should register permission to work or patent, or submit application to obtain permission to stay in the country for more than 90 days. If they fail do one of these, they should leave Russia before the end of 90-day term and return to Russia after three months.
Amendment to the federal law “On legal status of foreign citizens in Russian Federation” also stipulates that foreign citizens can stay in Russia without visa for 90 days within each 180-day period, except cases envisaged in the laws.
The Embassy said that if violation of the Russian legislation is revealed, the materials will be handed over to courts to adopt corresponding decisions.
The mission said that the amendments to laws will be extended to the foreign citizens and people with citizenship, who arrived in Russia after 1 January 2014.
