New tariffs for hot water, heating set in Tashkent from 1 April

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent will introduce new tariffs of central heating, as well as hot and cold water supply from 1 April 2014, Tashteploenergo (Tashkent heating energy) said in a statement.
Tashteploenergo said that the monthly tariff for centralized heating for population will increase from 705.42 soums per square of habitation to 787.95soums from 1 Aptil 2014. The growth rate is 11.69%.
New tariff for hot water will make up 9,960.67 soums per person if there is no meter compared to current 8,827.81 soums. Tariffs for hot water will be set at 2,524.99 soums per cubic meter if there is a meter (now – 2,260.51 soums).
Tariffs for dormitory habitants with general shower rooms increased from 7,335.38 soums to 6,172.6 soums per person.
According to Tashteploenergo, the price hike is connected with the growth of prices to energy and materials.
