CIS observers start their work in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A mission of observers from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) started a monitoring over elections to the parliament of Uzbekistan, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee said.

The CIS observers’ mission will work in Tashkent at the elections to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan from 8 to 12 December 2014.

The CIS observers’ mission is headed by the chairperson of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev.

The parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan will take place on 21 December 2014.
