Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A video analytics and recording offenses subsystem will be launched in Tashkent within the framework of the “Safe City” project.
According to the ICTNEWS magazine, the subsystem allows to process images from video cameras, recognize faces and machine numbers.
As experts note, the commissioning of this system in operation will facilitate the work of employees of law enforcement structures.
The edition stated that within the framework of the "Safe City" project there will be 5 subsystems responsible for all the activities of the complex.
The emergency call and call processing subsystem processes and accepts the incidents calls made by the alarm button. The button is not activated automatically, but manually by security officers or employees of the organization.
Information on unlawful actions can also be transmitted through the fixed telephone number 112 as well.
The CCTV subsystem monitors the territorial distribution facilities of the city economy, records video data and archive them. If necessary, the subsystem can provide archival data in investigation of incidents.
Geoinformation subsystem is developed in the form of an electronic map. With its help, rescue services and law enforcement agencies can see the scene on electronic map. Support for operation of the subsystem is carried out through an information Internet portal.
The fire alarm subsystem will quickly respond to the situation that has arisen, information on which can be obtained from security and fire alarm sensors. The subsystem is able to localize the fire, and then transfer the data to the center of operational response, which will speed up the arrival of the fire service.
The implementation of the "Safe City" project in Tashkent will take place in three stages. In 2018-2019, a project of public intellectual parkings for motor vehicles will be implemented using advanced recognition technologies and online payment.
At the same time, all city services will enter the automated information system for receiving and registering reports of crimes and incidents in the city. So, all the services: "101", "102", "103", "104", also other duty and dispatch services of the city will be united to the system of a single number "112".
From 2019 to 2023, the second stage of the project implementation is planned, which envisages coverage of information system by regional centers and cities of the country. At the third stage, the whole republic will be integrated into a single complex, which will be equipped not only with information systems and various sensors, but also with surveillance and alert systems.
The main task of the complex will be the unification of state authorities and bodies of economic management with the telecommunications infrastructure and information resources of the "Safe City" project.
Under the "Safe City" project, the entire urban population will have free access to a single regulatory and reporting base in which information from the city services will be collected: sanitary and epidemiological stations, emergency services, fire services, ambulance, etc.
