IUT can open new department “International Trade and Cooperation”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A new department “International Trade and Cooperation” can be opened at Inha University in Tashkent, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan said.
At the end of December 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Trade hosted a meeting with Vice President of Inha University in the Republic of Korea Inkyo Cheong.
Inkyo Cheong expressed gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan for assistance, provided and especially noted the timeliness and importance of the reforms under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in all spheres of the economy.
In particular, the Korean side underscored the high attention given to improvement of the education system in Uzbekistan and involvement of leading universities in the world.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of establishing cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan and Inha University in Tashkent.
The parties agreed to work out the issue of establishing the Department of International Trade and Cooperation at Inha University in Tashkent. At the same time, the Ministry’s employees will be invited as lecturers.
The parties will cooperate on issue of accession of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the World Trade Organization.
Simultaneously, the sides agreed on attracting distinguished students to the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the same time, the Korean side expressed interest in the creation of the Scientific Center for Study of International Trade at Inha University in Tashkent.
The Inha University proposal was supported and expressed the readiness of the Ministry to act as a partner in the creation and organization of the activities of this center.
