Almazar district holds last place on volume of additionally allocated funds to public education among large districts of Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Almazar district of Tashkent city ranked last in terms of the amount of additional funds allocated by khokimiyats to public education among large districts of the capital.
The top three outsiders in terms of the amount of funds allocated by the khokimiyats included Bektimer (983 soums per student), Almazar (3023 soums) and Yakkasaray (41013 soums) districts. These data was published on the website of the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan.
It should be mentioned that Bektimer district is the smallest territorial unit of the capital, where only 5 schools operate. As a result, Almazar district is becoming an obvious outsider among large districts of Tashkent in ranking.
Almazar district allocated 13.56 times less funds to support public education institutions compared to Yakkasaray district, which was one place higher than the outsider, and 18 times less than the average for Tashkent (54,414 soums).
The leaders in terms of the volume of allocated additional funds in khokimiyats in the sphere of public education were the heads of administrations of Mirabad (142,532 soums), Sergeli(80,078 soums) and Shayhontakhur (79,333 soums) districts.
These figures show that not all district leaders pay much attention to supporting schools.
