Uzbek Security Service detain members of international terrorist organizations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Security Service of Uzbekistan, together with the special services of foreign countries, detained and returned several citizens of Uzbekistan, who were members of international terrorist organizations.
According to the State Security Service, four citizens of Uzbekistan were detained. They were the leaders and responsible persons of the international terrorist organizations “Katibatul Imam al Bukhariy” and “Katibatul Tavkhid wa Jihad”, acting in Syria and representing a threat to the security of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
One of them led the terrorist organization Katibatul Imam al Bukharii in Syria, while the another person was responsible for funding this terrorist organization. Another citizen joined the Katibatul Tavkhid wa Jihad organization and was responsible for meeting new members in Turkey and sending them to Syria.
During their stay abroad, these citizens used fake documents and presented themselves by the Uighurs.
In addition, one of our compatriots, who was also a member of the Katibatul Tavhid va Jihad terrorist organization, was collecting money and recruiting, was returned to Uzbekistan by Security Service staff.
At present, investigations are being carried out in criminal cases instituted against these persons in accordance with the relevant articles of the Criminal Code.
