A new joint venture is being created as part of the project to create the Safe City complex

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A delegation of China South Industries Group Corporation, CITIC Group and Costar Group paid a visit to Uzbekistan on 17-21 June 2019.

The visit was organized within the framework of the Cooperation Agreements with the Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communications, signed during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to China in April 2019.

Following the talks on 20 June, an agreement of Association on the establishment of an Uzbek-Chinese joint venture was signed as part of the project to create the Safe City complex between the Safe City Assistance Center for the Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan and CITIC Group and COSTAR Group.

Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Shukhrat Sadikov took part in the ceremony of signing the Memorandum of Association on the establishment of a joint venture.

The main activity of the Uzbek-Chinese joint venture is the implementation of a project to build and maintain the Safe City complex, which is being implemented in Tashkent with direct investments of US$300 million using advanced technologies and innovative solutions from Huawei.

During the visit, a foreign delegation held meetings in Tashkent with relevant ministries and departments to determine future prospects for cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies.
