Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- It is proposed to carry out the modernization and reconstruction of the Bukhara oil refinery in three stages. This was reported by the Uzbekneftegaz press service.
In 2019, a project to upgrade the facility for US$553 million was launched at the Bukhara oil refinery.
The plant, founded in 1997, will be technologically upgraded for the first time in 22 years. After completion of the work, the refinery will be able to annually process 2.5 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate, due to which production of 1.2 million tonnes of Euro-5 gasoline, 200 thousand tonnes of jet fuel, 750 thousand tonnes of diesel fuel and 30 will be arranged. thousand tonnes of fuel oil.
As part of the visit of the President of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Uzbekistan on 19 April 2019, a signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekneftegaz and SK Engineering took place on the project of modernization and reconstruction of the Bukhara oil refinery.
It is proposed to carry out the modernization and reconstruction of the Bukhara oil refinery in three stages:
First stage (2019) envisages the replacement of the catalyst for the installation of gas oil hydrotreatment with the latest generation catalyst, which will ensure the generation of 20% of the total volume of diesel fuel meeting Euro 4.5 standards and 80% of Euro 3 standards.
Within the second stage (2019-2022), it is planned to modernize and reconstruct existing production lines with the installation of additional equipment aimed at improving product quality. As a result of the implementation of stage II, an increase in the production of high-octane gasoline AI-91, AI-93, AI-95 meeting the requirements of Euro 3, Euro 5 standards and the production of 100% diesel fuel according to Euro 5 standard is ensured.
The third stage (2024-2025), it is planned to construction of new facilities to ensure deep processing of fuel oil. At the III stage, it will stipulate increasing the depth of processing of raw materials from 79% to 95%, and increasing the yield of light oil products from 77% to 91%.
The construction of facilities of the II and III stages is provided without stopping the existing production.
Currently, the possibility of attracting direct investment by the company for the implementation of the project is being worked out, Uzbekneftegaz notes.
