Uzbek-Malaysian business forum takes place in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 October 2019, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry held an Uzbek-Malaysian business forum and a B2B meeting with business circles of the two countries, the CCI press service reported.
The Malaysian delegation included representatives of more than 30 leading Malaysian companies, including those producing food products: granola, energy bars, dairy products, instant coffee, nutritious drinks, etc. About 100 companies participated on our part.
In 2018, trade between our countries made up US$78.274 million, or 19.5% more compared with the 2017 figure. The structure of our exports mainly includes chemical fertilizers, fruits and vegetables, legumes, honey, etc. The bulk of imports from Malaysia are fats and oils (48.3%), industrial or laboratory equipment (14.3%), essences and coffee / tea concentrates (6.5%), raw materials for the production of soap and other detergents (5%), etc.
At the meeting, representatives of the two countries exchanged views and discussed future cooperation.
