Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January 2020, Uzbekistan’s enterprises produced industrial products worth 27.9 trillion soums, the physical volume index of industrial production compared to the same period in 2019 grew by 4.4%.
In the structure of industrial production, the largest share falls on the manufacturing industry (75.7%), the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The main factor in the growth of the physical volume of industrial production was an increase in manufacturing by 8.6% and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 2.5%, while there was a decrease in production of water supply, sewage, collection and disposal of waste - by 1.6% and mining and quarrying 9.0%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January 2020 made up 4.0 trillion soums, or 14.3% of the total industry.
Compared to the same period of 2019, there is an increase in coal production by 63.1%, crushed stone by 19.0% and gas condensate by 1.2%, while there is a decrease in gravel production by 25.2%, petroleum by 68.3%, coalin by 60.8%, and natural gas production by 10.0%.
Manufacturing enterprises produced products worth 21.1 trillion soums in January 2020 or 75.7% of the total industry.
In the structure of the manufacturing industry, in comparison with the corresponding period of 2019, the share of high-tech industries was 1.3% (1.4% in January 2019), medium - high-tech - 23.8% (25.2%), medium - low-tech - 39.9% (37.0%) and low-tech - 35.0% (36.4%).
In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises engaged in the production, repair, assembly of machinery and equipment, the production of cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products amounted to 19.9% (the physical volume index grew by 122.0% of January 2019), the metallurgical industry - 24.1% (101.3%), the production of textile, clothing and leather products - 17.3% (110.7%), the production of food, beverages and tobacco - 14.8% (105.7%), enterprises for the production of chemical products, rubber and plastic cereal - 9.9% (108.2%).
In January 2020, the Republic produced 93.6 thousand tons of motor gasoline (compared to the corresponding period in 2019, an increase of 30.8%), 100.0 thousand tons of diesel fuel (22.5%), 22.7 thousand tons of cotton yarn (19.7%), 1035 million pieces of tobacco products (21.1) and 8.6 million liters of beer (23.7%).
In January 2020, 51 buses were produced in the republic (the volume of production decreased by 31.1% compared to the corresponding period in 2019). In March 2019 the largest volume of production was recorded at 204 units.
In January 2020,19.8 thousand car engines were produced in the republic (the volume of production increased by 20.7% compared to the corresponding period in 2019).
In October 2019 the largest volume of their production was recorded at 25.1 thousand units.
In January 2020, 272 trucks were produced in the republic (the volume of production decreased by 25.9% compared to the corresponding period in 2019).
The largest volume of their production was recorded in November 2019, amounting to 616 pcs.
At the same time, in the manufacturing industry, in comparison with the corresponding period of 2019, the production of tobacco products increased by 1.2 times, cars - by 1.2 t., automobile engines - by 1.2 t., automobile gasoline - by 1.3 t., running wheels, their parts and accessories - 1.7 t., radiators, silencers and exhaust pipes, clutches, steering wheels, steering columns, crankcase steering gears and their parts - 1.8 t.
In January 2020, 5 962 cars model “Nexia” were produced in the automotive industry (growth rates were 129.0% compared to the same period in 2019), 5 078 “Cobalt” – (147.4%), 4 340 – “Gentra” (155.0%), 3 989 – “Damas” (135.2%), 2 320 – “Spark” (148.7%), and 7 288 – “Labo” (47.8%).
In January 2020, 25 tractors were produced in the republic (production increased by 2.8% compared to the corresponding period in 2019). In December 2019 the largest production volume was recorded at 739 units.
In January 2020, 121 cultivators and rippers were produced in the republic (the volume of production increased by 1.2 times of the corresponding period in 2019). In April 2019 the largest volume of production was recorded at 325 units.
Capital repairs of technological equipment allowed to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceed the production indicators of 2020 for ammonium sulfate (4.4% of January 2019), potassium chloride (8.0%), methyl alcohol (9.4 t.), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (19.0%).
The volume of products produced by electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning enterprises amounted to 2.6 trillion soums (9.4% of the total industry).
In this industry, the physical volume index, compared to the corresponding period of 2019, increased by 2.5%.
The volume of products produced by enterprises of water supply, sewage, waste collection and disposal amounted to 0.2 trillion soums (0.6% of the total industry).
In comparison with the corresponding period of 2019, there was an increase in recycled materials containing copper by 3.3 t., emptying services, cleaning and treatment of cesspools, sumps and septic tanks – by 16.7%, water treatment and distribution services by water pipes – by 62.0%, and there was a decrease in services for disposal, transportation of waste water and their treatment - by 22.8% and recycled materials containing aluminum – by 48.8%.
As a result of the measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, the production of consumer goods amounted to 7.6 trillion soums and, in comparison with the corresponding period of 2019, increased by 6.8%, the share in the total volume of industry amounted to 21.2%.
Compared to the same period in 2019, in the structure of consumer goods production in January 2020, a decrease in the share of non-food products was recorded from 69.0% to 68.0%.
In the structure of food products, the production of wine-vodka products and beer amounted to 2.6% (2.4% in January 2019).
In the structure of production of consumer goods in the republic, the largest share falls on the Andijan region (25.3% of the total consumer goods), Tashkent city (18.8%), Tashkent (9.9%), Samarkand (9.0%) and Ferghana (6.0%) regions.
The largest growth in consumer goods production was recorded in Khorezm (123.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2019), Andijan (110.0%), Bukhara (111.6%), Ferghana (110.8%), Samarkand (108.5 %) and Syrdarya (107.5%) regions exceeding the national average (106.8%).
In the structure of food production in the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (20.5% of the total volume of food products), Tashkent (16.0%), Samarkand (9.8%), Kashkadarya (6.6%) and Ferghana (7.2%) region.
At the same time, the largest growth in food production was recorded in Ferghana region (117.7% compared to January 2019), Syrdarya (115.9%), Tashkent (110.1%), Namangan (108.4%), Samarkand regions (108, 4%) and Tashkent city (114.1%).
In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic, the largest share falls on Andijan region (34.3% of the total non-food products), Tashkent city (18.0%), Samarkand (8.6%), Tashkent (7.1%) and Khorezm (6.2%) region.
The largest growth in the production of non-food goods was recorded in Khorezm (130.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2019), Samarkand (108.6%), Bukhara (115.2), Andijan and Navoi regions (117.1%).
During the reporting period, enterprises with foreign investments produced products worth 7.5 trillion soums.
The share of production of enterprises with foreign investments in the total production volume was 26.8%.
In the structure of industrial production of the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (18.4% of the republican volume of industry), Tashkent (16.9%), Navoi (14.6%), Andijan (9.0%) and Ferghana (6.4%) of the region. Surkhandarya (1.4%) and Jizzakh (1.5%) regions have a low share.
Along with this, it should be noted that the largest share of consumer goods was produced in Andijan region (25.3% of the total consumer goods of the republic), Tashkent city (18.8%), Tashkent (9.9%), Samarkand (9.0%), Ferghana (6.0%) and Khorezm (5.6) regions.
Consistent implementation of measures to increase the industrial potential of the regions contributed to a significant increase in the index of physical volume of industrial production in Andijan (9.4% of January 2019), Bukhara (8.3%), Namangan (14.7%), regions and Tashkent city (5.0%).
At the same time, there is a significant increase in the production of consumer goods in Khorezm (17.7% of January 2019), Ferghana (10.8%), Bukhara (11.6%), Andijan (10.0%), Syrdarya (7.5%), Samarkand (8.5%), Navoi (7.3%) and Tashkent city (9.0%).
An analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the national average (831,100 soums) in the Navoi region (4.12 million soums), Tashkent city (2.01 million soums), Tashkent (1.61 million soums) region.
The production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the republic amounted to 225.8 thousand soums, including 561.0 thousand soums in the city of Tashkent, 620.7 thousand soums in the Andijan region and 258.2 thousand soums in the Tashkent region.
During the reporting period, small businesses produced products worth 8.6 trillion soums.
The share of small business products in total production amounted to 30.9%.
By regions, the largest share of small business was observed in Namangan (64.0% of the total industry of the region), Tashkent city (57.5%), Jizzakh (56.6%), Samarkand (53.8%), Surkhandarya (51.3%), Kashkadarya (35.5%) and Ferghana (38.8%) regions.
At the same time, the smallest share of small business was noted in Navoi (9.8%), Andijan (20.2%) and Tashkent (24.4%) regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (17.4%). The analysis of the share of small businesses in industrial production by regions of the republic showed that the low share of small businesses in industrial production can be explained by the high production volume of large industrial enterprises located in these regions.
Today, there are 71.5 thousand industrial enterprises in the republic, of which 15.1 thousand (21.1% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in Tashkent city, 7.7 thousand (10.8%) – in Ferghana, 7.7 thousand (10.7%) – in Tashkent, 6.6 thousand (9.3%) in Andijan, 6.1 thousand (8.5%) in Samarkand and 5.5 thousand (7.7%) in Namangan region.
In January 2020, 1 235 industrial enterprises were newly created in the republic, of which 205 (16.6% of the total number of newly created enterprises) are in Tashkent city, 127 pcs. (10.3%) in Tashkent, 127 pcs. (10.3%) in Andijan, 117 pcs. (9.5%) in Khorezm, 116 pcs. (9.4%) in Samarkand and 100 pcs. (8.1%) in Ferghana region.
