Uzbekistan Airways suspends flights from Tashkent to Jeddah and Medina

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Starting from 27 February 2020, Uzbekistan Airways has suspended all flights from Tashkent to Jeddah and Medina.

According to the airline, this decision was made in connection with the introduction by the Saudi authorities of a temporary ban on the entry of pilgrims and tourists from 25 countries of the world, including from Uzbekistan.

The authorities explain the adoption of such a decision by the need to prevent the threat of the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.

At the same time, the airline said that in the near future it will operate several flights, solely for the purpose of bring the Uzbek citizens from Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan.
