Yandex.Taxi becomes Yandex Go

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Yandex launches Go, an application that combines services for solving daily tasks in one place. In Uzbekistan, in the Yandex Go application, fast movement around the city by taxi and instant sending of things are now collected; in other countries, they may be supplemented by express delivery of meals from restaurants and groceries from stores, a “live” schedule of public transport, car sharing and travel with a personal driver.

Go will replace the Yandex.Taxi application. By combining the capabilities of different services in one application, Yandex Go will use all their key technologies. Drivers executing service orders will work less "idle" and will not stand idle while waiting for orders.

“Yandex Go allows people to solve any problems related to getting around the city quickly and on time. The taxi arrives in less than 5 minutes, the delivery of things or documents takes 20 minutes on average. Thanks to technologies and platforms within the Yandex ecosystem, we make everyday activities so easy that people can do them on the run and in parallel with other activities,” Daniil Shuleiko, CEO of Yandex.Taxi Group, said.

The Yandex Go interface will change along with the name, but the continuity with the Yandex.Taxi style will remain.

Users of the Yandex.Taxi application need to update it to the latest version to switch to Yandex Go. For new users, the Yandex Go service is already available for download on Google Play and AppStore.

Yandex.Taxi was launched in Tashkent in April 2018, and is now also available in Ferghana, Margilan and Namangan. Earlier this year, in addition to taxi rides, a delivery function became available.
