New school put into operation in Tajikistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekiston Temir Yollari Joint Stock Company has implemented the project “Construction and equipping of a complex of buildings of a secondary school for 630 students in Spitamen district of Sughd region of the Republic of Tajikistan”.
Today, on 27 September, the ceremony of putting the new school into operation took place. The event was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Tajikistan Mahmadyusuf Imomzoda, the Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov, as well as the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekiston Temir Yollari" Khusnutdin Khasilov.
The agreement on the construction of a new school was signed during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan in March 2018. The implementation of the project was carried out in accordance with the Plan of Practical Actions (“Road Map”) for the implementation of agreements on the further expansion of multifaceted cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan for 2018-2019 and approved by the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 12.03.2018 No. PP-3596 " On measures to further expand bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan. "
As the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekiston Temir Yollari" H. Khasilov noted in his speech, all conditions for high-quality education of schoolchildren were created in the school erected on behalf of the President of our state, all building norms and rules, fire safety requirements were observed. The construction also took into account the seismic resistance of the building.

The construction was carried out according to an individual project, providing comfortable conditions for the effective organization of the educational process, practical classes in specialized subjects in physics, chemistry, astronomy, biology, drawing, as well as teaching boys labor skills in processing metal, wood, and girls - housekeeping, culinary arts, etc. needlework. For sports, an indoor gym and an open stadium are presented, and a library is available to increase the level of knowledge and expand the horizons of the students. For the preparation and conduct of classes, favorable conditions have been created for teachers.
The complex of buildings and structures of the school, located on the territory of 2.1 hectares, includes three blocks. The first block includes a three-storey educational building with basements. On the 1st floor there are laboratory rooms for biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, educational workshops for home economics, cooking, metal and wood processing, classrooms for fine arts and drawing. On the second floor, there are primary school rooms, a universal room for extended-day groups, offices of the director, head teacher, teacher’s room, organizer of extracurricular activities, doctor, office, accounting, commandant. On the third floor there are educational and computer classes, classrooms of the native language and literature, English, classrooms of mathematics, geography.
The second block of the school consists of two floors, where on the ground floor there is a gym, changing rooms, showers, bathrooms, rooms for sports equipment and an instructor. The third block is a two-storey building with a ground floor. On its ground floor there is a dining room with a kitchen, a sideboard and ancillary facilities. On the second floor there is an assembly hall, a cinema room, a technical center, an art center, a library and other premises.
Classrooms, specialized classrooms, workshops, laboratories, a sports hall, an assembly hall for 278 seats, a dining room for 224 seats, classrooms are fully equipped with furniture, inventory, computer equipment, educational and laboratory equipment.
A panel with portraits of the Presidents of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan is hung on the facade, above the main entrance to the school building. A commemorative granite pedestal dedicated to the grand opening of the school has been installed on the school grounds.
