Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- It is no secret that there are such diseases and cases when people are forced to go abroad, sometimes to distant countries, for accurate diagnosis, competent treatment, complex surgical operations. All this is a very, very costly business - it takes a lot of money, time and effort. Meanwhile, the implementation of a new project in Tashkent is a chance for the people of Uzbekistan, without going abroad, to receive modern, high-quality medical care in their native country.
According to the instructions of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Achilbay Ramatov, a press tour was organized to the construction site of a new, in a way unique medical institution in Uzbekistan - the Multifunctional Medical Center.
The main point and driving force in the implementation of this project was the provision of high-quality specialized medical care to the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan, further improvement of the organization of training highly qualified medical personnel, the widespread introduction of innovative technologies into the practice of domestic health care. The implementation of this project is entrusted to JSC "Uzbekiston Temir Yollari" and JSC "Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company" (Russian Federation).
It is noteworthy that the construction of the Center is being carried out according to a unique project of German companies with experience in the successful implementation of high-tech medical facilities in many countries of the world. The center will also be equipped and equipped with the latest engineering and medical technology.
During the press tour, a familiarization tour with the facility under construction took place, where those responsible for the implementation of the project spoke in more detail about the course of design, construction of the clinic, its stages and terms of implementation, as well as about the prospects for disseminating the experience of this medical center on a regional scale (opening branches, cooperation with partner clinics).
“The main task of creating this Center is to create conditions for the people of Uzbekistan so that they have wide access to modern high-tech medical care,” says Zafar Mukhamedov, consultant of this project. - A full cycle of medical care for children and adults will be implemented here, this is diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation. The hospital is designed for only 140 beds. The total area of the site under construction is 8.1 hectares and, according to the project, five main blocks will be located here, each of which will have a different profile of activity (children’s and adult polyclinics, departments of radiation, functional and endoscopic diagnostics, a multidisciplinary laboratory, a children’s and adult hospital, surgery and resuscitation unit, rehabilitation department, engineering and technical economic and auxiliary services). For persons accompanying patients or their relatives who have come from regions or other countries, as well as for foreign medical specialists, cooperation with whom it is planned to establish on an ongoing basis, a modern hotel is also being built here, which includes 62 comfortable rooms.
By the way, about the staff of the future Multifunctional Medical Center. In parallel with the construction, the implementation of the action plan for the long-term provision of the Center with medical personnel has begun. In particular, a training program has been drawn up for already selected personnel, from among our domestic specialists of certain profiles, in foreign clinics and medical centers in Germany and the Russian Federation. It is planned to retrain doctors in 42 types of specialties and nurses, as well as non-medical personnel. Five clinics in Germany and two clinics in the Russian Federation express their readiness for long-term bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation. Separate bilateral Memorandums of Cooperation have been signed, which provide for cooperation in the training of medical specialists through the exchange of experience and specialists.
- Cooperation is mainly aimed at training highly qualified medical specialists in such popular areas as cardiology, cardiac surgery, angiosurgery, interventional angio-cardiology, neurology, endoscopy, oncology, abdominal and thoracic surgery, spinal surgery, orthopedics, pediatric surgery, rehabilitation and others, - says the head physician of the Multifunctional Medical Center, Farhad Ilkhamov. - It is planned to organize the work of the Center at the highest level in accordance with European standards, ranging from equipment, the use of breakthrough medical technologies and international medical and diagnostic regulations to the qualifications of personnel. On a regular basis, consultations, consultations, master classes will be held through teleconferences, videoconferences, telemedicine, online operations and many other forms of cooperation with foreign specialists are planned.
According to experts, the implementation of the project in terms of the construction of concrete-monolithic structures is 90-95% complete. According to preliminary forecasts, the commissioning of the facility is planned for mid-2022. In the future, this center will create a network of partner clinics abroad, open branches throughout the country and make a worthy contribution to the development of healthcare in Uzbekistan.
