Unknown person opened fire at Perm State University
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Shots are fired on the territory of Perm University, there are people killed, a source in the ambulance service told Interfax.
“An unknown person entered the territory of Perm State University and opened fire on students and teachers. There are people killed and injured,” the source said.
People independently evacuate from the university, including jumping out of windows.
Later, the press service of the Perm State National Research University (PGNIU) confirmed the information about the incident to Interfax.
“I confirm the information, there really was a shooting. My colleagues and I are in the conference room, some of the employees are locked from the inside, other employees are locked in their offices. There was a guy in a mask who was shooting from traumatic pistol,” said a spokesman.
PGNIU also urged students to close in classrooms. “If you are currently at the university, if you are in the classroom, please try to close from the inside and stay put. If you are on campus, leave the area if possible,” the university said in a message on VKontakte.
“If you are going to university - turn around!” - added in the message of the university.
