Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 October 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Chief Executive Officer of the Center for New American Security (CNAS) Richard Fontaine and the head of the Indo-Pacific Program of CNAS Lisa Curtis, who arrived in our country as observers at the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Minister informed the US side about the main directions of our country's foreign policy, the work carried out in the framework of the preparation and conduct of the presidential elections, the latest changes in the electoral legislation of Uzbekistan.

An exchange of views took place on certain issues of the international and regional agenda, including the situation in Afghanistan.
