Presidential elections in Uzbekistan recognized as valid

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - More than 6.67 million citizens have already voted in the presidential elections in Uzbekistan as of 11:00. The presidential elections in Uzbekistan were recognized as valid.
According to the CEC of Uzbekistan, as of 11:00 am, out of 19.859 million citizens included in the voter lists, more than 6.67 million voters took part in the voting, which is 33.6%.
In accordance with the legislation, for the elections to be recognized as valid, 33% of registered voters must vote.
The voting process continues. Polling stations will close at 20:00.
Five candidates are taking part in the elections: President Shavkat Mirziyoyev (UzLiDeP), Maksuda Varisova (People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan), Alisher Kadirov (National Democratic Party Milliy Tiklanish), Bahrom Abdukhalimov (Social Democratic Party Adolat) and Narzullo Oblomurodov (Ecological Party).
