At least 35 separate quotas to be allocated for teaching teachers abroad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the adopted presidential resolution, by 1 January 2023, additional pedagogical preparatory programs in specialties related to their areas of education will be developed for undergraduate students of pedagogical universities.

The programs accept students who are studying in the last two years of undergraduate studies at the university.

Persons with a certificate of mastering the programs, after graduating from a higher educational organization, are granted the right to engage in pedagogical activities in organizations of preschool, general secondary, secondary specialized and vocational education in the specialty specified in the certificate, without undergoing retraining courses.

Starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, a procedure will be introduced in accordance with which students studying in joint educational programs of pedagogical universities are paid compensation to cover the cost of a paid contract for the period of study at a partner foreign university.

For the training of personnel in the field of pedagogy in prestigious foreign universities on the basis of bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs, starting from 2023, at least 35 separate quotas for teaching staff.

The resolution approved the list of academic lyceums (8 titles) at universities that train teaching staff.

In the 2023/2024 academic year, admission to academic lyceums at pedagogical universities is organized on an experimental basis according to a two-stage selection system - based on a preliminary written exam and test tests.

Starting from the 2022/2023 academic year, measures will be taken to train students in grades 10-11 of general secondary education institutions who have the ability to become a teacher on the basis of specially developed variable curricula.
