Uzbekistan sends humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan has sent humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, which was hit hard by the earthquake and subsequent flooding. This was announced by the official representative of the country’s Foreign Ministry Yusup Kabuljanov.
According to him, Uzbekistan sent a plane with 74 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. The aid was formed upon receipt of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In particular, Uzbekistan provided Afghanistan with food, basic necessities and medicines.
Earlier it was reported that on the night of 21-22 June, an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred in Afghanistan. The source of the earthquake lay at a depth of 51 km. More than 1,150 people died and more than 1,500 were injured in the Wednesday morning quake, according to the latest data.
