Khududgaztaminot: almost 106 million cubic meters of natural gas were supplied to consumers in the country over the past day

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Due to the fact that in recent days a sharp drop in air temperature has been observed throughout the country, natural gas consumption continues to grow. Over the past 24 hours (on 8 December), almost 106 million cubic meters of natural gas have been supplied to consumers in the country. This is a 14% increase compared to this day of last year (on 8 December 2021, more than 92.8 million cubic meters were delivered). This was reported by the press service of Khududgaztaminot.

However, to date, 457 mahallas (61,000 households) are experiencing a decrease in natural gas pressure or disconnection from gas supply. However, a gradual improvement in the situation can be noted, in particular, on 5 December, this figure was 516 mahallas (79 thousand households).

Currently, most of the citizens’ appeals to Khududgaztaminot JSC come from Tashkent city, Tashkent, Andijan, Namangan, Ferghana and Samarkand regions.

To provide the population and social facilities with gas, Khududgaztaminot takes all necessary measures. Temporary restrictions were imposed on the supply of gas to large industrial facilities, CNG stations and the private sector, which made it possible during the cold season (from 16 November to 7 December) to release 24.7 million cubic meters of natural gas and send it to the needs of the population and social facilities.

Local gas supply specialists are doing a lot of practical work. Thus, in order to improve gas supply in the Yangikhayot district of Tashkent, two new gas distribution points are being installed in the Chashma makhalla, which will improve gas supply to 200 households.

In Sergeli district of the capital, on the Ziyokor street of the Nomdanak mahalla, a high-pressure gas distribution point is being installed. As a result, gas supply to 750 households will improve.

In Yunusabad district of the capital, a gas pipeline is being restored on Ahmad Donish Street. As a result, gas supply to 30 apartment buildings and 500 households will improve.

In addition, Khududgaztaminot maintains an uninterrupted supply of liquefied gas to the population of regions where there is no natural gas supply. So, on 7 December, 2.2 thousand tons were delivered, and on December 8 (on a holiday) - 1.5 thousand tons of liquefied gas. This process will continue over the weekend.

It should be noted that in accordance with the assigned obligations, Khududgaztaminot ensures the supply of liquefied gas to consumers whose homes have been suspended from supplying natural gas due to a decrease in pressure in the main gas pipelines. Gas cylinders were delivered free of charge to residents of Zangiota, Parkent, Yangiyul, Bostanlyk, Akkurgan, Buka, Yukorichirchik, Urtachirchik and Tashkent districts. To supply fuel to such consumers, 12 vehicles and 50 gas supply employees were allocated. In total, 600 gas cylinders were distributed free of charge.

In order to provide all consumers with blue fuel, Khududgaztaminot urges citizens to rationally use natural gas and operate gas-consuming equipment only for essentials, and, if possible, turn off heating devices when leaving the house.
