"Roadmap" to increase the mutual tourist flow with Kazakhstan signed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A trilateral "road map" was signed between the Secretariat of the organization of the Turkic states, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On 3-4 October 2022, in the city of Turkestan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the Secretariat of the National Organization of the Turkic states, a forum was held on the implementation of the Tabarruk Ziyorat project with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Travel Companies of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The event was organized in order to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to accelerate the development of cooperation in the field of tourism with the Turkic states” and the decision adopted at the 7th meeting of representatives of the tourism industries of the organization of the Turkic states in the city of Shamakh of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

On 17 January 2023, in order to implement the agreements reached during this meeting between the Secretariat of the Organization of the Turkic States, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a tripartite “Roadmap”.

“Roadmap” stipulates the development of tourist programs that increase the flow of tourists between the two countries, establishing the exchange of information between tourist companies of the two countries, the systematic placement of information showing the tourism potential of countries, on a special platform of pilgrimage tourism, the creation of amenities in border checkpoints for visiting tourists from The purpose of pilgrimage tourism is the development of proposals to increase the number of bus transportation on the Turkestan-Tashkent route.

During the online meeting, representatives of the tourism industry of Uzbekistan were invited to the next meeting of member countries and observers of the organization of Turkic states, which will be held in Kazakhstan in October 2023.

In turn, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan expressed support for all projects of the secretariat of the organization of Turkic states aimed at developing culture and tourism among member states and observers of the organization.

For information, 57% of the total number of tourists who visited Uzbekistan in 2022 falls on Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Of these, 30% (more than 1,550.0 thousand) - tourists from Kazakhstan.
