Citizens of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will be able to travel to two countries with an ID card

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Citizens of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will now be able to travel to the two countries with an ID card, UzA reports.

According to the protocol, now all citizens of Uzbekistan will be able to enter Kyrgyzstan, like citizens of Kyrgyzstan, with an identity card - an ID card (previously it was possible to travel abroad only with a foreign passport).

Information about the entry and exit of citizens at the border is recorded electronically, there is no need to put a stamp in the passport.

This innovation applies to crossing the border by any mode of transport (airplane, train, car, bus, etc.).

The regulation will come into force after the signed documents are duly approved by both countries.

It is said that it will take about 1-2 months.

This procedure will be a great relief, especially for our compatriots in the exclave regions of Uzbekistan, such as Sokh, Shakhimardan and Chongara, and will put an end to unnecessary bureaucracy when crossing their border.

Until today, no country has established a procedure for mutual trips using an ID-card. Kyrgyzstan became the first.
