Some 1,200 road accidents occurred in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2022, 1,200 road accidents occurred in Tashkent. As a result of the accident, 136 people died and 1463 received bodily injuries of varying severity.

At the same time, 32.5 percent of traffic accidents involved pedestrians. Children were involved in 169 road accidents. About 56 minors were injured in road accidents and 17 died.

In 2022, the most common violation (370 cases) was speeding. Another 143 drivers passed a prohibited traffic signal.

Eight accidents occurred due to the fact that the drivers were in a state of intoxication. 73 accidents had serious consequences.
