The works of young talented photographers of Uzbekistan will be shown in the Hermitage

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The possibility of participation of creative youth of Uzbekistan at the annual International Media Forum "Dialogue of Cultures" in St. Petersburg was discussed in the capital’s khokimiyat.

At the meeting, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Tashkent Sanjar Tadjiev and Chairman of the Media Congress "Commonwealth of Journalists" Ashot Jazoyan discussed the participation of young documentary filmmakers, photographers and directors of Uzbekistan in the XVII International Media Forum "Dialogue of Cultures", which will be held at the State Hermitage Museum in St. 19 to 21 May 2023.

The International Forum "Dialogue of Cultures" is the largest project of the Commonwealth of Journalists media congress, which has been held in the State Hermitage Museum since 2004. Over the years, more than 3000 journalists from 45 countries of the world have taken part in it. The XVI Forum "Dialogue of Cultures", held in October 2022, brought together participants from 11 countries, including young correspondents, photographers and bloggers, cameramen from Uzbekistan.

As part of this forum, the General Staff Building of the State Hermitage Museum traditionally hosts the photo exhibition “I Live Here”, where photojournalists from different countries and regions talk about the original places where they and the subjects of their photographs live.

The chairman of the media congress “Commonwealth of Journalists” Ashot Jazoyan noted the positive changes in Tashkent and stressed: “Uzbek flavor should be present at our exhibition in the Hermitage!”.

The parties also discussed the prospects for further cooperation and holding joint media projects in Tashkent with the participation of leading documentary filmmakers, photographers and bloggers from around the world.
