The Center of National Arts on 4 November hosted an event to pay tribute to a prominent artist of Uzbekistan Yevgeniy Melnikov, bringing together the late artist`s friends, relatives, colleagues who are members of IJOD Association of Artists, Art Historians and Craftsmen, as well as journalists. The event also included an exhibition of works by Melnikov.
The National Museum of Arts in Tashkent is housing a mobile exhibition titled “Archeological Research in Central Asia” held as part of Germany Weeks in Uzbekistan. The exhibition, which has traveled to Bukhara and Termez, consists of 50 posters with images of archeological finds, sites and participants. The exhibition has been organized by the Embassy of Germany in Uzbekistan, the Fund Forum and its partners.
On 7-8 November, the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan will play host to the Tashkent selection rounds of Yangi Avlod 2010 (New generation) Children’s Art Festival. Yangi Avlod is one of the Fund Forum’s major projects seeking to discover and support young talents.

Tashkent’s Center of National Arts is housing prominent Uzbek artist Ortikali Kozokov’s solo exhibition. The opening ceremony of the art show was held today to coincide with the artist’s 50th anniversary and brought together his colleagues, art professionals, friends, fans, members of the diplomatic corps and journalists. Organized by the Fund Forum and MEROS Association of Artists, Art Historians and Craftsmen, the exhibition will last until November 27.
Azeri Cultural Center in Tashkent is hosting an exhibition of works by sculptor Eynulla Aliyev (1937-2001), which opened on 22 October. The exhibition was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan with support from the Fund Forum and the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.
A memorandum between Termez city administration and Public Committee on establishment of Nara-Uzbekistan Friendship Association was inked in Japan.
From 18 October to 12 November, Uzbekistan regions will host selection rounds of Yangi Avlod (New generation) Children’s Creativity Festival, organized annually by the Fund Forum. Over 23,000 children aged 6 to 14 have submitted applications for participation this year.
Fifteen young perspective painters from various regions of Uzbekistan, recommended by Uzbekistan Art Academy, visited LUKOIL fields – Southern-Western Gissar and Khauzak-Shady.
