Kuruvchi, the second-ranked club in the Championship of Uzbekistan, has offered the Spanish club Barcelona $40 million for Cameroonian forward Samuel Eto’O, according to the Catalonian periodical Sport. The Uzbekistan Soccer Federation website confirms that the player has turned in all necessary papers to receive a visa to Uzbekistan and will arrive in Tashkent on July 17. According to the website, Eto’O is now vacationing in the United States, but he will come to Tashkent with his agent and two aides. A copy of Eto’O’s passport is also posted on the website.
