Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to attract foreign investments for over US$53 million to realize four investment projects in construction industry in 2010, RIA Novosti reported quoting Uzstroymaterially.

In particular, Uzbekistan plans to attract US investments to construction of cement plant in Karakalpakstan with the capacity of 1 million tonnes of cement and organization of gypsum production based on technologies of Knauf (Germany).

Iranian and Italian investors plan to invest to creating production of ceramic tiles with the capacity of 3 million square meters.

Bekabadcement OJSC is working on modernization of existing capacities with construction of new line on dry method cement production, the agency said.
