Uzbekistan, Ukraine discuss cooperation in transport sphere

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Ukraine agreed to consider opening of direct flights between Tashkent and Lvov and Kherson.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Alisher Abdualiev held negotiations with the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Andrei Pivovarsky.
At the meeting, the sides considered issues of boosting cooperation in sphere of transport communications.
Uzbek envoy highly rated current state of cooperation between Ukraine and Uzbekistan and affirmed importance of further deepening cooperation in automobile, railway and air transportation.
Alisher Abdualiev said that Ilichevsk sea port plays key role in transporting Uzbek export products and said it is necessary to expand transit of cargo, including cotton, via Ilichevsk sea port.
At the meeting, the sides agreed to consider opportunities to open direct flights between Tashkent and Lvov and Kherson.
At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed mutual interest in expanding cargo and passenger transportation with use of automobile, railway and air transports.
