Russia stops transit of powder milk from Ukraine to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselhoznadzor) did not allow transit of 126 tonnes skimmed milk powder from Ukraine to Uzbekistan, the press service of the Office of Rosselkhoznadzor for Bryansk and Smolensk regions said.
The Russian body said that two parties of skimmed milk powder, produced by Vinnitskiy Milk Plant of Roshen and Jitomirskiy Oil Plant arrived in railway border point Bryansk-Lgovskiy on 19 May. The weight of cargo was 126 tonnes and was heading to Uzbekistan.
Russian specialists noted that the veterinary certificates were not filled fully and they contained some violations.
The document also violated permission of the Uzbek State Sanitary Service to import the powder milk. The products were returned to the senders.
