The US Embassy Tashkent will organize concerts with the American band Brazzaville dedicated to the 19th Independence Day of Uzbekistan.

The ceremony of awarding the winners of the national festival of traditional and contemporary art Navqiron O‘zbekiston 2010 was held in Tashkent. The event was organized by the Fund “Forum of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan” together with Arts Academy.

Around 500 people came together on 16 August at Tashkent`s Youth Creativity Palace to attend the opening ceremony of Navqiron O’zbekiston (Young Uzbekistan) Festival of Traditional and Contemporary Art, a biennial event organized by the Fund Forum and the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.

Turkish dance band Anadolu Atesi (Fire of Anatolia) will present their show at Tashkent’s Istiqlol Palace on 19 September 2010. The project has been presented by UCell.

Legendary German rock band Die Toten Hosen will give two concerts in Uzbekistan. The concerts will be held in Tashkent on 24 September 2010 and in Samarkand on 25 September 2010.

Weeks of Germany in Uzbekistan will be prepared and organized in Uzbekistan in August-December 2010.

On 16 July, Seoul hosted a unique presentation of Uzbek ikat fabrics organized by the Fund Forum and the Ministry of Foreign Economic Affairs, Investment and Trade on the Uzbek side, and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy and the Association of Designers on the Korean side.

On 25 June, Tashkent’s Centre of National Arts hosted a presentation of the book “Khorezm tanbur notation”, organized by the Fund Forum, the Centre of National Arts and the Specialized Research Centre of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan.

On 21 June, Uzbekistan joined to celebrate the National Day of Music in France, placing the Stage of Alisher Navoi Theatre at the disposal of Nilda Fernandez, French chanson singer.

The Fund Forum presents its first major cultural project in New York City (USA). The presentation of Uzbekistan’s culture and tourism potential was held on 10 June at Ana Tzarev Gallery in downtown Manhattan.
