Angren Pipe Plant starts to export of copper pipes

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Angren Pipe Plant of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine (AGMK) started to export copper pipes, the press service of the AGMK said.
The combine said that it had reached agreement to realize its copper pipes to Intamex S.A. (Switzerland), Euro Metall Group (Russia), Sinclair Industrial Supplies LP (Great Britain), Gemciler Guven Metal, Birol Isitma Sogurta San. Tic. Ltd. Sti and Tura sogutma sanayi ve ticaret (Turkey).
AGMK said that Angren Pipe Plant participated in the international specialized exhibition of ventilation, conditioning, heating, industrial and trade refrigerators “Mir klimata-2015” in Moscow, Russia, in March 2015.
During the exhibition, the Uzbek enterprise held negotiations with potential buyers of copper pipes such as Egida, Elita, Izoterma-M, RBB-Holod, Klimat-market, Gran, Galaktika, Domodedovskiy Machinery Plant and others.
Producers of ventilation and conditioning systems of Turkey, Italy and China expressed interest in the products of the Uzbek plant. The Uzbek company also established ties with Halcor of Greece, which also manufactures copper pipes.
The plant also supplies its products to Artel, local producer of electronics. The company is also holding talks with Sino, producer of refrigerators.
AGMK completed construction of Angren Pipe Plant in the end of 2013. The plant produces copper pipes with the diameter from 4.5 mm to 50 mm. About 90% of products will be exported.
The project cost was US$35.48 million. The project was financed due to own resources of AGMK for US$10.28 million and loans of Ipoteka Bank for US$12.27 million in foreign currency and US$12.93 million in national currency.
Within the project, Jiangsu Xingrong High Tech Co., Ltd (China) supplied and installed technologic equipment for US$9.67 million.
TOSHELECTROAPPARAT produced and supplied electrotechnical equipment and conducted installation works worth US$3.79 million.
The UAE-based SAM Building Contracting LLC supplied metallic and wall construction of production building and equipment for them, as well as installation works for US$5.57 million.
