SCO FMs hold summit in Uzbek capital

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A session of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) started in Tashkent on 24 May 2016.
Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrisov, Foreign Minister of China Wan Yi, Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldaev, Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Aslov and Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, as well as the SCO Secretary-General Rashid Alimov and Director of SCO RATS Executive Committee Yevgeniy Sisoev are attending the meeting.
The Foreign Ministers will discuss preparations to the summit of the SCO leaders, which will take place in Tashkent on 23-24 June 2016.
They will consider draft Tashkent declaration, action plan for 2016-2020 on realization of the strategy on development of SCO till 2025, draft documents aimed at further promoting cooperation to fight terrorism, extremism, organized crime and illegal drug trafficking.
The SCO FMs will also discuss issues related to accession of India and Pakistan to the organization. They will also exchange opinion on regional and global problems.
