Internet providers in Uzbekistan to be obliged to store clientele data for 3 months

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan developed an order “On introduction of changes and amendments to the rules of rendering data transfer services, including Internet”.
The draft order was published in Single State Interactive Services Portal for public discussions.
According to the document, internet providers will have to store information on web-resources (log-files), used by their clients, for three months.
The order underlined that the operators and provides should adopt necessary measures to identify users at providing services.
Identification of users will be conducted based on their phone numbers or other registration data, based from passport information.
