Farmers’ movement - invaluable gift of independence

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- These days, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, UzLiDeP is holding various cultural-educational events, meetings and talks in all regions of the country under the motto “My life, my destiny - my dear, unique Uzbekistan!”
One of such events was held in the Fergana region on the theme “Farmers’ movement - invaluable gift of independence” with participation of MPs of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, members of UzLiDeP, women entrepreneurs and farmers from regions, deputies of the regional, district and city councils of people’s deputies.
It was noted that over the years of independence women have gained a high reputation in the social, cultural, spiritual and economic life of society.
Governmental and non-governmental structures implement various socio-economic projects in this direction. In particular "Women’s Wing" of UzLiDeP implements the project "Women farmers" aimed at demonstrating success of women farmers and stimulate them to new achievements.
Mukhlisa Akramova, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Political Council of UzLiDeP:
– Full support for women farmers, the introduction of innovation into their activities are important tasks facing our party. In recent years, UzLiDeP has done extensive work on the development of farming movement. In particular, the party helped create modern farms and thereby provided employment of women.
The main purpose of today’s seminar is also in summarizing the work done defined in the program and the pre-election platform of UzLiDeP. During the event, participants exchanged experiences and views on solving urgent issues of the farms using party funds and powers of the parliamentary groups of the party in the local councils of people’s deputies.
Barno Mirzamova, head of the farm "Uychiobod Zamin" in Namangan region:
– With every passing day, the greatest and dearest holiday – the 25th anniversary of the state’ independence is drawing nearer to us. Today special attention is being paid to celebrating this holiday with lifted spirits. In this regard party holds events to highlight the work and achievements of women farmers.
It should be noted that today the number of active and enterprising young women farmers is becoming more and more. At today’s event, I shared my experiences with them on the establishment of farming activities.
Lola Murotova, head of the farm "Nurly obod" in Fergana region:
– I am interested in the agrarian sphere since my childhood, then I started to cultivate the land and learn the secrets of agriculture. Today, I am a farmer and I love my profession because it allows me to contribute to the development of the country and society as well as help to employment of young people, especially girls.
Sokhiba Khudoiberdiyeva, head of the farm "Koinot" in Andijan region:
– Today in our country many women seeking to become the farmers, to cultivate the land and to contribute to the development of the economy and enhance the well-being of the population, to ensure the employment of women. However, the effective use of land, provision of population with quality food products requires a lot of effort and diligence. In spite of this, in the current year we have grown from each hectare more than 40 quintals of grain and exceeded its contractual obligations before the State. In addition, we have greenhouse and in the future, we are going to open a workshop for processing products and thereby to create new jobs. All this is a result of the high attention given to farmers in our country.
During the seminar the appropriate proposals and recommendations were adopted.
