Shavkat Mirziyayev: Uzbekistan to continue constructive cooperation with foreign states

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will continue constructive cooperation with foreign countries and international community, Acting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev stated at the joint session of the Legislative Chamber and Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
Mirziyayev said that Uzbekistan will actively realize the Concept of foreign policy of Uzbekistan to further strengthen position and authority of the country at international arena.
Uzbek Acting President said that Uzbekistan will not join any military-political block and place military base and objects of foreign countries in the territory of Uzbekistan. He added that Uzbek troops will not be sent to foreign states.
Central Asia is main priority of foreign political activity of Uzbekistan, he said. Uzbekistan will carry out open, friendly and pragmatic policy in relation of neighbors – Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, he said.
Acting President said that priority direction of foreign policy of Uzbekistan is to develop relations with the CIS states, including with Russia, which meets interest of both countries and serves strengthening of stability and security in the region.
He said that Uzbekistan will develop mutual beneficial and constructive cooperation with the United States of America.
He said that Uzbekistan is interested in further strengthening strategic partnership with China as close regional neighbor and state.
In Asian-Pacific region, Uzbekistan will pay attention to development of relations with Japan, South Korea and other states in the sphere of economy, investments, science and technologies, education, healthcare and tourism.
Uzbekistan pays important attention to development of mutual beneficial cooperation with leading states of Europe, first of all with Germany, France and Great Britain, as well as states of Central and Eastern Europe.
“We are interested in further developing cooperation with India, Pakistan and other countries of South Asia in political, trade-economic, transport-communication and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Uzbekistan traditionally will carry out friendly neighborhood and friendly policy in relation with Afghanistan,” Mirziyayev said.
Uzbekistan will develop and strengthen mutual beneficial cooperation with Middle and Near East. Uzbekistan will expand and strengthen relations with the state of Latin America and Caribbean region, as well as Africa, he said.
Contacts, active participation and cooperation with the UN, SCO, CIS, Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international organizations meet with national interests of Uzbekistan, he said.
The country will develop cooperation with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, International Monetary Fund and other international financial and economic institutes, which are supporting structural reforms in the economy of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyayev said.
