Uzbekistan to launch production of particleboards from cotton stalks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is planning to crate enterprises on production of particleboards from cotton stalks.
The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures on creation on modern capacities on production of particleboards from cotton stalks” on 22 Septemer
According to the resolution, modern capacities on production of particleboards from cotton stalks will be opened in three regions of Uzbekistan.
The projects will be realized within agreements, reached during the state visit of the Chinese President Xi Jinping in Uzbekistan in June 2016.
Jizzakh Qurilish Ziynati in Jizzakh region (10,000 cubic meters a year), Termiz-Taminot in Surkhandarya region (10,000 cubic meters a year) and Sewon Kiup in Tashkent region (30,000 cubic meters a year) will start production of particleboards from cotton stalks.
Total estimated cost of three projects is US$7.3 million. The volume of foreign loans makes up US$2 million, foreign direct loans – US$3.5 million, loans of banks – US$1 million and own resources of enterprises – US$0.8 million.
New capacities should be launched by the end of 2017.
