Uzbekistan expands exports’ volume

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About 835 new enterprises were attracted to export activities in Uzbekistan in past period of 2016, the Ministry of Economy and State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said. Exports of 246 new types of goods were launched.
Uzbekistan started to export goods and services to 52 new markets. Exports of automobiles were conducted to the UAE, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Ghana, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Somalia, Nigeria; wine and wine-vodka products - Japan, China, the USA, Israel, chemical products - Poland, China, Turkey, South Korea, Latvia, Afghanistan, mineral fertilizers - Sweden, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, athletic shoes and products from leather - Belarus, Azerbaijan, Poland, South Korea, etc.
In nine months, the exports of goods and services rose by 1.4% year-on-year in January-September 2016. Physical volume of exports of polyethylene, knitted fabrics, cotton fabrics, pharmaceuticals and medical products, molybdenum and tungsten products, monoammonium phosphate, soda ash, trucks and other products with high added value increased in the reporting period.
Creation of special foreign trade company Uzagroexport helped to increase exports of fresh and processes fruits and vegetables in nine months of 2016. The volume of exports of fruits and vegetables exceeded 543,000 tonnes, which grew by 40.4% year-on-year.
